Gospelfest 2004 Concert

Let your spirit be lifted up by some of the most talented voices in the St. Louis area as they rejoice in the music of their faith. A variety of Gospel groups will perform. Directed by Joy McCaleb, the musical director for the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Native American Contest Powwow

Native Americans will conduct a series of powwows over the course of several hours. Drummers, dancers, and singers from throughout the nation will compete for cash prizes and re-create the legacy of their Indian nations. During the powwow, there will be a special tribute to the Native Americans who have served and died as members of the United States military. The powwow's master of ceremonies will be Ruben Littlehead, Northern Cheyenne tribe.
11 a.m. Grand Entry
3 p.m. Special Tribute to Military Veterans
5 p.m. Closing Ceremony and Awards
Admission: $3 donation requested of attendees over 12 years old.

Thunderbird Theater Troupe

The theater troupe from the Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas, will unveil the music, literature, religion, and culture of western Indian tribes through a series of powerful vignettes.

Serving With Honor: A Salute to Our Veterans

This Expo concert will feature performances by the Symphony Society of St. Charles, the St. Charles Fife and Drum Corps, and the choir from the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Members of the Native American community will pay a special tribute to the veterans who have paid the ultimate price in the war on terrorism. Sponsored by area veterans and Baue Funeral Home.
