College students participating in the program will:
- Increase their awareness of sexual assault and date rape
- Discover the difference between the myths and facts about rape
and sexual assault in our society
- Learn how alcohol impacts the risk of sexual assault
- Learn what they can do to stay safe and reduce their risk of
sexual assault
- Learn how men are also effected by sexual assault
- Find out where to get support on and off campus
- Find out how male and female college students can work together
to help end sexual and dating violence
Presentation Highlights:
- Facilitated by highly trained community educators
- Educational packets will be distributed to each participant
- Presentations are customized to meet the specific needs of
each group/organization
- Presentation are appropriate for male and female audiences
- The presentation is FREE!
Content of presentations will also enhance course curriculum
in classes such as human behavior, psychology, sociology, social
work, and human services.

DID YOU KNOW?
- College students are at high risk for sexual assault. They
are one of the most vulnerable age groups for sexual assault
- 1 in 5 young women experiences rape during college
- In 80-90 % of college rapes, the victim knows the assailant
- Every 2 to 3 minutes a woman is raped in the U.S.
- More than 1 in 3 of female high school and college students
reported some violence in a dating relationship
- About 50% of dating women experience sexual, physical, emotional,
or verbal abuse from dating partners
- Men are also victims of sexual assault and effected in many
ways by the presence of sexual assault in our society
