2022 SCC Area Music Educators Showcase

An open showcase to share your talents and collaborate with other area music educators! Free and open to the public. To participate, register by Feb. 20 using the link below.

Music 

Get out and listen in on what’s been happening with SCC’s music program which is made up of college students and faculty, community residents and high school students. Enjoy our 400-seat performance hall located in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building. And if listening isn't enough, consider joining one of our Music Ensembles or taking private music lessons.

Free Music Performances

All concerts are free and open to the public, no reservations are required. Please view the Music Events below for details.

If the campus must be closed due to inclement weather or some other unforeseen incident, a performance scheduled during the closure will also be canceled.

Music Ensembles

You may join one of the SCC Music Ensembles as a credit or non-credit student. To register as a credit student, register as you would normally for classes.  Please use this link to register for an ensemble as a non-credit student Music Ensembles at SCC

Private Lessons

Music Private Lessons are offered to community members and SCC non-performing arts majors. Find additional information at www.stchas.edu/privatelessons

If you are a performing arts (music, theatre) major at SCC, and you need to enroll for credit, please register through the normal course registration process.

5/02/24 — SCC Singers and Chamber Choir Concert

5/03/24 — Sophomore Recital

Location: Off Campus Dardenne Presbyterian Church

Details: Sophomore Recital featuring Kirsten Dolejsi, soprano, and Sophie Wright, soprano. This event is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. 5/10/24 — Performing Arts Department Musical Theatre Practicum Performance

Time: 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Location: CH Auditorium

Details: Join the students of our Musical Theatre Practicum class for an hour-long performance of fully staged and costumed scenes from some of your favorite shows. The performance is free and open to the public, no reservations are required.

5/12/24 — Sophomore Recital

Time: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Location: CH Auditorium

Details: Sophomore Recital featuring Bee Boyer, soprano, and Aaron Carranza, bass guitar, accompanied by a Jazz Combo! This event is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.

6/09-6/14/24 — SCC Jazz Camp

Time: 12:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Location: On Campus varies, a schedule will be provided to participants

Details: A camp designed for enthusiastic instrumental students, grades 7 and older, to learn more about jazz style, improvisation, and performance.

7/25-7/28/24 — All Shook Up-Inspired by and featuring the songs of ELVIS PRESLEY, Book by JOE DIPIETRO 10/5/
