| The College
Center, a multipurpose facility, is located in the northwest
quadrant of the campus. A major purpose is to assist in the promotion
of health and wellness for the campus community by providing a healthy
environment for personal development through physical and recreational
activities.
Students, faculty and staff have access to the Fitness
Center, which provides fitness assessment and a complete
weight machine circuit.
In addition, space is available for intramural activities,
team practices, recreational games, dance activities, and many other
college events requiring a large gathering area.
The first floor houses Student
Activities offices, a lounge, meeting rooms, and game
room. Mid-Rivers Kitchen, Jr. offers breakfast, lunch and snack foods
and is open 7:30a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
The second floor houses classrooms for academic Physical
Education credit courses as well as Continuing Education classes
offered through the Division of Corporate & Community Development.
Please refer to current class schedules for classes in both Physical
Education and Continuing Education.

Admittance to the Fitness Center requires successful
completion of the credit class PHE 118 Fitness Center I and a student
ID card to prove current college student status. Current faculty and
staff need to call (636)922-8219 to make an appointment for orientation
lessons on the equipment. Community members may use the center by being
enrolled in the Fitness Center Conditioning Class offered by the
Corporate and Community Development division. Call (636)922-8233 for
information and registration.
The Fitness Center is used as a classroom so even though it
is open the same hours as Open Gym, it is not available for open use
during scheduled classes. Please check the class schedule or posted
schedule on the fitness center whiteboard for "open" use times.
The gym is open for recreational sport activities when not
scheduled for regular college activities or special events.
