Command Spanish:  Spanish-Speakers in the Workplace-Promoting Cross-Cultural Understanding

Purpose

A comprehensive treatment of the many issues involved with effectively supervising Spanish-speaking employees.  It also includes a small language component that covers greetings, etiquette, compliments, and safety and medical emergencies.

No prior knowledge of Spanish necessary for either level.

Objectives

With Spanish-Speakers in the Workplace: Promoting Cross-Cultural Understanding, you will be able to do the following:

  1. enhance productivity and increase harmony in the workplace
  2. avoid interpersonal conflicts
  3. rebuild respect between employees
  4. increase safety in the workplace
  5. conduct more accurate evaluations of employees
  6. prevent employment litigation cases

Intended Audience

This is intended for supervisors and managers of Spanish-speaking employees.  Also recommended for directors and staff of Human Resource Departments.

Participants will receive:

A 37 page manual and 1 audio CD which helps minimize and/or eliminate barriers of cultural understanding in the workplace, so that supervisors and co-workers can better interact with Spanish-speakers.
