Anticipated learning outcome.

Successful completion of this project will identify duties and functions of an Ethics Officer in the corporate world.  Students who have meaningful discussions with those in the business world will recognize how varied the world is and become exposed to other ways of thinking ethically as a professional in the field that, although may be different than their own views, are successful and positive.  Exposing these differences will highlight the daily application of ethics in the professional world.

Guidelines for accomplishment of event

Identify someone who has a position as ethics officer of a business or corporation. 

1. Make an appointment with this person so you will have a designated time and time span to ask questions and get answers without interruption.
2. Go to the interview prepared with specific questions to ask.  Include, but do not limit yourself to the following ideas:
1. Identify the basic duties performed.
2. What is a normal business day and what types of actions are taken?
3. What educational experience and or training prepared the person for the position?
