Dear ART 101 Telecourse Student:
Welcome to St. Charles Community College and the telecourse,
“Art of the Western World.” This telecourse is an
introduction to art from prehistoric to present. My name is
Tim Hahn, and I will be the facilitator for your
course.
Assignments will consist of video programs, text readings, mail
in quizzes, mid-term, and final exam. A museum visit and papers are
also required. The ORIENTATION SESSION is
MANDATORY! At the Orientation,
class materials will be distributed and pertinent
dates and course expectations will be discussed. Any questions about
the course will be addressed at this time. The following is a list

Your textbook is available at the SCC Bookstore. The student
telecourse manual will be given to you at the orientation. The video
tapes/DVD’s can be checked out at the library during their normal
hours with a college ID.
**Students may now receive their telecourse books through the
mail. Call the bookstore at 636-922-8448 to place your order. There
is an additional shipping charge of $5.00 per book. Students may use
VISA, Mastercard, or Discover as methods of payments. Items will be
shipped U.P.S.
**Be sure you receive the
telecourse book for your class. On campus classes may have different
books. *Call 636-922-8448 to verify hours between terms.
