What is a critical information letter?

Distance learning instructors want you to succeed in your online courses, but you need to read and understand the requirements prior to the start of classes. Some instructors may require attendance to on-campus orientations, midterms and final exams.

What learning management system is used?

SCC uses Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) to supplement instruction.

Are distance learning courses accessible?

If you are a student with disabilities, you may require accommodations for distance course components (video, audio, timed quizzes and exams, and discussion boards). Contact Accessibility Services regarding accommodation requests as soon as possible (SC 133, 636-922-8247).

Is online learning right for me?

SCC uses SmarterMeasure, a Web-based assessment to help students understand their online learning readiness.
