SCC distance learning courses will provide you with the same
quality education you would receive in the classroom but with much
greater flexibility and convenience.
If a face-to-face orientation and midterm examination are
offered, you are expected to attend a session on campus. All
distance courses require the completion of a final examination, but
it is up to the instructor to decide if the final is to be taken in
person or online. Instruction may be presented through the World
Wide Web or through television/videotaped programs, or a combination
of methods.
Distance courses have varying starting and ending dates. To
learn more about available courses, see the Fall 08 and Spring 09 Course Schedules. There you will find orientation
letters that include information meeting dates, faculty expectations,
required texts, and more. |

Spend less time driving and
more time learning.
Do you work full-time?
Do you travel
frequently or have a rotating work shift?
Are you a
parent who finds it difficult to get to campus due to child care
responsibilities?
Then, distance learning courses may
be the perfect way for you to earn college credit! |
