Calculus Placement

Students who score a 3, 4, or 5 on the Calculus AB test can be placed into Calculus II and receive 5 hours of SCC credit.  Students who score a 3, 4, or 5 on the Calculus BC test can be placed into Calculus III and receive 10 hours of SCC credit.  There is no higher placement available.  If a student does not receive a  passing score on the AP Calculus test, the compass placement test must be taken or an ACT math subscore of 24 or higher can be used to be placed into College Algebra.
