This course provides 100 hours of on-the-job training required for certification in Missouri. Students enrolled in CNA 100, who have met the requirements, are eligible to enroll. Students not enrolled in CNA 100 are accepted on a case-by-case basis depending on documentation and clinical site availability.
Students who are not employed in an SNF/ICF facility by the last week of class will need to apply for CNA 102-40 to complete the 100 hours of clinical experience required to complete the course. Students work with the Clinical Instructor to set their own schedule for these clinical hours (within approved guidelines). Enrollment in CNA 102-40 WILL NOT be accepted after the student has completed their classroom hours so please plan accordingly. All clinical hours MUST be completed and the final exam scheduled within three months of the last day of classroom instruction (CNA 100).
Upon completion of the classroom and clinical hours, a written and clinical final exam (CNA 100-75) must be taken and passed with an 80% or better score on the written portion and a 100% on the practicum portion of the exam to achieve certification. The final exam may be taken up to three times within 90 days.
