Total Hours Required For Graduation
64

Most transfer institutions require an ACT score of at least 20. The ACT should be taken no later than two semester prior to transferring into a teacher education program. The C-BASE test is also required and should be taken near the end of the sophomore year. In addition, most transfer institutions require at least a 2.5 G.P.A. for graduation.

*A student majoring in secondary education will need to determine the subject area he/she will teach in order to take appropriate classes for the teaching field requirements. It is extremely important that the student check with his/her transfer institution for the best choice of electives that will meet major field requirements.

#Taking all of the following EDU and PSY courses will fulfill the competencies outlined by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education midpreparation benchmarks of the MoSTEP Standards for preservice teachers: A "C" or better is required in each course.

  • EDU 211 Foundations of Education
