Most transfer institutions require an ACT score of at least 20, and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 to be accepted into the teacher education program. The ACT should be taken no later than two semesters prior to transferring into a teacher education program. The C-BASE test is also required to get into a teacher education program at a university and should be taken near the end of the sophomore year (after 45-60 accumulated credit hours).

# Taking all of the following EDU and PSY courses will fulfill the competencies outlined by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education midpreparation benchmarks of the MoSTEP Standards for preservice teachers. It is extremely important that you check with your transfer institution for the best choice of electives that will transfer as your major field requirements.
