

The Workforce Development Department (WFD) at St. Charles Community College works to develop a well-equipped workforce in the college’s service area. WFD partners with public and private entities to offer resources to employers, employees and schools. It includes three units:
Optimizing Our Current Workforce.
The Business and Industry Programs, the training arm of the SCC WFD department offers customized training programs and performance improvement services.
Redirecting Our Ready Workforce.
When county residents face unemployment, the college's Workforce Development Department can help through its partnership with St. Charles County Government. This program, partially funded through the federal Workforce Investment Act, helps job seekers find employment.
Investing in Our Future Workforce.
School-Business Programs provides events and programs throughout the region to help young people (K-12) develop into mature, responsible citizens.
