Tom Kearns enters his fourth year coaching with St. Charles Community College. After leading the Cougars to the Region XVI Final in 2010 and a school record 12-win season in 2011 (12-5-1), he looks to guide SCC to another successful campaign in their fourth season as a NJCAA sanctioned sport. He is a member of the National Soccer
Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and holds a national license from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
Kearns began coaching in 1991 after graduating from Southern Methodist University (SMU). He has worked with various soccer clubs throughout his coaching career, including the Dallas Rockets, Dallas D’feeters and Legend Soccer Club of Arlington, Tex. He also worked with the North Texas Olympic Development Program (ODP) for two seasons and recently worked with the Missouri ODP Program in 2010-11. From 1987 to 1990, Kearns played Division I soccer for SMU. He was a four-year letterman and competed in the NCAA playoffs each of his four seasons. Each season the Mustangs ranked in the top 10 of the NCAA Division I rankings. After college, Kearns played two years with the North Texas men’s state team
and played semi-pro soccer for F.C. Dallas/ Dallas Inter of the Lone Star Soccer Alliance (LSSA). Kearns played midfield for the LSSA League Championship team.
Kearns is originally from the Florissant area and grew up playing for Scott Gallagher Soccer Club. His club team won three state titles, a regional title and played in the U16 National Finals. He also attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Florissant. Under the direction of legendary high school coach Vince Drake, he led his team to the Missouri
State High School Soccer Championship in 1985. As a senior, Kearns was named the Suburban Journal Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Metro accolades by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
He currently resides in Wentzville with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children Toni and John.

John Crowley enters his third year coaching with St. Charles Community College. Coach Crowley will focus primarily on the defensive side of the team. Crowley has substantial experience playing as well as coaching.
Crowley played club soccer and high school soccer with SCC Head Coach Tom Kearns. He played on the Missouri State High School Soccer Championship Team at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1985. After high school, Crowley went on to play soccer at St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley. After Florissant Valley, he furthered his playing and academic career by at Missouri Valley College.
Crowley has established himself among the coaching ranks over the past 10 years. His experience includes Catholic Youth Council (CYC), St. Charles County Youth Soccer Association (SCCYSA), and St. Louis Youth Soccer Association (SLYSA). SCC will utilize his experience to help develop this young program into a nationally ranked team.

Bill Steffen enters his third year coaching with St. Charles Community College. Steffen has extensive experience as a coach and player. As a player he was a member of the Missouri State High School Soccer Championship Team at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1985. He later won a NJCAA National Championship in 1989 with St.
Louis Community College-Florissant Valley. Steffen went on to compete in the 1991 national tournament with Sangamon State University.
Steffen has been coaching youth soccer since 1998. He formerly coached with Scott Gallagher Soccer Club and Woodson City Rangers Soccer Club. He is now coaching for the recently formed Major League Soccer affiliate, Sporting StL Rangers.

Jonathan Quintero enters his first full year as a staff member with the SCC Cougars. Quintero has vast playing and coaching experience. He played college soccer at East Central College in Union, Mo., and Anderson University in South Carolina. He has coached with Club Atletico Nacional USA, JC Juniors Soccer Academy and Florida Rush Soccer
Academy. He currently holds a USSF “C” license.
