 What Training Is Currently Offered?

ICD-10-CM/PCSICD-10-CM
Intended for coders in hospital environments. Intended for coders in the physician office & other ambulatory environments.
Similarities and differences between ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM. Similarities and differences between ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM.
Hands-on diagnosis and procedure coding. Hands-on diagnosis coding.
Environment-specific scenarios. Environment-specific scenarios.
Coding of case scenarios using both systems.  

How Much Does It Cost?

These ICD-10 courses are being offered to you through the MoHealthWINS program, which is funded by a grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training Grant Program.

If you qualify for this grant, there will be no cost to you for the course tuition, however, some fees may apply. Classes must be completed by Sept. 1, 2014.

If you do not qualify for the grant, or do not wish to participate, you may still enroll at full tuition.

  • Online ICD-10-CM (diagnosis only), $145 online tuition + cost of training manual
  • Online ICD-10-CM/PCS (diagnosis and procedures), $245 online tuition + cost of training manuals
  • Classroom ICD-10-CM (diagnosis only), $200 tuition
  • Classroom ICD-10-CM/PCS (diagnosis and procedures), $400 tuition

When Do Classes Begin?

Classroom-Style

  • 4-8 weeks to complete
  • Held at SCC campus
  • Tuesdays – 5:30-9:30 p.m. (call for start date)
  • Thursdays – 1-5 p.m. (call for start date)
  • All training materials provided
  • CEU credits available

Online

  • Must be completed within two to four months depending on program
  • Self-paced study
  • Classes begin on the first of the month (Starting Oct. 1)
  • Training materials purchased separately
  • Online discussion forums
  • CEU credits available
