Tina Hoester is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC) providing short-term mental health and substance abuse counseling services for St. Charles Community College. She meets with students, free of charge (for credit students), both on or off campus. On-campus appointments are seen in ADM 1204, Office S. Off-campus appointments are seen at Bridgeway Behavioral Health in St. Charles.
Tina earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her master’s degree in counseling from Webster University. She is "All But Dissertation" (ABD) for her Ph.D. in counselor education at SLU.
Tina has more than 20 years of experience working with youth, adults and families in a variety of settings. Her focus is to give students immediate tools to handle the challenges that bring them in, which may include referrals to resources in the community.
Tina is available to speak with students concerning any issues on Monday’s and Tuesday’s from 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m., on Wednesday mornings from 8 a.m.-noon and Thursday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. As scheduled by faculty members, she makes class presentations concerning mental health, substance use and wellness.
