College Success Seminar (COL 101) is required of all first-time students taking 9 or more credit hours (5 hours or more in the summer session). This class helps students succeed at St. Charles Community College (SCC). Students will understand the many aspects of college life, such as procedures, campus resources, faculty expectations, study skills, career exploration and technology used in college classes (including the use of SCC Connection, CougarMail and Canvas). This course is offered in 10-day intensive sessions during early January and August, as well as 10-week sessions during the regular semesters. ESL 100 is the appropriate College Success Seminar course for non-native English speakers.
