Distance Learning Class Critical Information

MUS-111-N4 Music Appreciation

Dear On-line Music Appreciation Students,

My name is Catherine Murray, and I will be your guide through Music Appreciation, MUS-111-N4. This is an eight-week on-line course that provides a unique opportunity for your introduction to the world of music through the advantages of modern technology. This course covers the basic concepts of music and music history from the Middle Ages through the 20th century.

There is no orientation meeting for this course, midterm, or final exam meeting.  It is entirely on-line.

Before registration for the class, you may be wondering if this is the right way to learn for you.  Feel free to use the link below to assess your readiness for this kind of instruction.

If this really is right for you, I would be happy to assist in your learning process.

You will need to know how to use a computer. You need:

And the night shall be filled with music,
And the cares that infest the day
Shall fold their tents like the Arabs
And as silently steal away.
