Dear Student,
Welcome to St. Charles County Community College and "E-Marketing". This course is designed to give you an understanding of the impact of the Internet on traditional methods of marketing. As the Internet has become more and more ubiquitous in business, organizations of all types need to understand how to maximize its potential in their marketing efforts. This course will give you a solid understanding of how the Internet has impacted the traditional "Four Ps" (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) of marketing and provide you with the knowledge to effectively leverage the Internet to market goods and services in today's "e-economy". Additionally strong emphasis will be placed on researching and understanding E-Marketing trends being leveraged by companies today. These trends include but are not limited to Search Engine Marketing, Database Marketing, Online Advertising, Etc.
The online format of this course is designed to give you maximum flexibility in taking the course. A great deal of self-discipline is required as you are expected to complete the assigned work even though we will not have regular class meetings. We will use the computer and Internet for most of our interaction and exchanges so you will need a computer able to access the Internet. I will review this at the
