Welcome to Introduction to Criminal Justice. This course has been developed to provide you with an alternative form for obtaining college credit for this course. Passing this course is a prerequisite to more advanced courses in criminal justice. Following the successful completion of this course, you will receive three semester hours of credit at St. Charles Community College (SCC).

My name is Joan Koechig. I will be your Instructor for this course. I have been on the faculty as an adjunct instructor at SCC since 1990 and will be available to answer your questions and discuss points of interest via the telephone or through email. I will return your call or email generally within 24 hours. Please note, do not sign up for this course with exceptions in mind to the course schedule. The only permitted reason to miss the orientation and the final is a serious physician certified illness or documented death in your immediate family. Please don't ask for other reasons.

  • 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 – TECH 101

Final

Choose one:

  • 6 p.m. Monday, May 6 – SSB 1405
  • 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 8 – SSB 1405

The orientation is very important. During this time, we will have an opportunity to get acquainted. We will review the schedule and assignments and requirements of the course with due dates and college/course expectations. You will be able to ask any questions that you may have. The orientation is worth 50 points for the course. Be sure to attend. Class begins promptly and no one will be allowed in once class has begun.

Moodle will be available to students by the start of the semester.
