Dear SOC-215 Online Students,
Welcome to St. Charles Community College and our online course SOC-215: Marriage and the Family for the fall 2013 semester. This course does not have any on-campus meetings, it is conducted entirely online.
This course has been developed to provide you with an alternative form for obtaining college credit. "Marriage and the Family" is a college-level distance learning course that will introduce you to a review of the historical development of the family, as well as an analysis of family living in modern society. This analysis will include such topics as parenting, socialization, love and courtship, marriage and marital and familial problems.
I am Vicky Herbel, your facilitator for this course. My role as your facilitator is to guide you through the course and to answer your questions and discuss points of interest.
It is important that you are able to reach me when questions arise. Therefore, you may contact me at 636-922-8666 or you can reach me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
