Nursing Department

The St. Charles Community College Associate Degree Nursing Program is fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc.

The Associate Degree Nursing Program is designed to prepare registered nurses who administer safe, patient-centered nursing care in beginning staff nurse roles in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, doctor's offices and other health care facilities and home settings. Graduates are awarded an Associate of Science degree in nursing and are eligible to apply for the Registered Nurse Licensing Examination. Graduates are prepared for employment as registered nurses immediately after graduation and satisfactory completion of the State Board of Nursing requirements for licensure.

"The Missouri State Board of Nursing may refuse to issue any certificate of registration or authority, permit or license required pursuant to this chapter for one or any combination of causes stated in subsection two of this section.
