Graduates from the BAS program become successful in their careers because of the broad base of skills they gain. They gain a high proficiency in computer software and technical skills: database applications, desktop publishing, electronic note taking, presentations, voice recognition, word processing, spreadsheet applications, etc. In addition to the technical competencies, students develop good management skills related to scheduling and organizing time and people and the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.

In addition, some classes are offered online for time and place flexibility. For some classes, a combination of on campus and online (hybrid) formats are used to maximize the use of a student’s time. In addition, courses are offered in 4-, 8-, and 16-week time frames to allow students flexible scheduling to coordinate with other demands of their time.
There is one Associate of Applied Science degree option, Business Administrative Systems. Many degree-seeking students will choose to add a complementary certificate to increase their marketability.
