This program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to care for and teach young children. Child care professionals promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth of infant, toddler and preschool children by guiding and supervising them through a variety of developmentally appropriate experiences.
This certificate prepares students for entry-level or assistant positions in early childhood programs. Students who have had experience in early childhood programs may also select the courses that are necessary to meet state licensing requirements for administrative positions in early childhood programs.
