The Creeps, a charming though unusual family, live in a dilapidated mansion in Edible Falls. Heading the home is Sinbad and his captivating spouse, Tarantula. Unfortunately their home is in an exclusive and snobby neighborhood dominated by a group of people who are certain the Creeps are ruining Pilgrim Road’s chance to win the yearly All American Street Contest-which they have lost every year. The neighborhood’s self appointed leader makes it her mission to force the family out of Pilgrim Road at any cost. This results in comical misadventure spiced up with lots of very strange characters. This entertaining family show is full of show-stopping musical numbers that will make you very glad you met the Creeps.

This swashbuckling tale of intrigue, romance, and hilarity is set during the French Revolution, where a small group of British men, led by the mysterious "Scarlet Pimpernel," rescue French aristocrats from the guillotine. Everyone's dying to know the identity of the dashing hero - including an emissary of the newly established French Republic, sent by Robespierre himself! Diversions, blackmail, swordplay, and sheer tomfoolery ensue as people try to solve the mystery. See how the “Pimpernel” saves the day in this action packed fun and witty show that pits the good guys against the bad guys in 18th century France.
Young People's Theatre has been performing quality family theater productions for more than 20 years. Three performances are presented each year with a performance in spring, fall and the winter holiday season.
Since 1989, YPT has been dedicated to providing quality performance and learning opportunities for thousands of children and families. The mission is to provide training and experience in theater and performing arts to children and their families. Director Brisby Andrews has been working as creative director since 2004. She loves working with kids and seeing how they blossom as young actors.
Throughout the years, the program has expanded to incorporate musical and dramatic productions, variety shows, performance and technical class instruction, summer theater arts camps and mentoring opportunities. Community volunteers are an essential part of the program and are always welcome.
Young People's Theatre is self-supporting and holds various fundraisers throughout the year. Watch the website to see how you can help.
