All current and past students and instructors are invited to participate in the Annual Continuing Education Art Show.

A showcase of the amazing accomplishments of SCC Continuing Education participants from 2011-2013 classes and summer camps. If you have taken a painting, drawing, beading, basket weaving, pottery/ceramic, woodworking, computer design, jewelry, quilting, knitting, crocheting or photography class, please share your accomplishments with family, friends, visitors to campus and your fellow classmates.

Art Show Artist Information

The Canal_Oil Painting by Jackie Robinson

Eligibility:  Open to all who have attended any SCC Continuing Education Art, Craft/Hobbies, Photography, or Computer design class in the past 24 months.  Includes classes in painting (oils, watercolor, acrylic), drawing, ceramics, pottery, jewelry, basket weaving, knitting, crocheting, sewing, photography, Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.  

Artwork must be original work created by the artist within the past two years and not previously shown at SCC.

Up to 5 entries may be submitted (acceptance is dependent on the number of overall entries and space available).

This is a non-juried show.  Entry is FREE.

Media and Specifications:  All media in two and three-dimensional form will be considered.  Two-dimensional work must be ready for hanging. Preferred hanger type, ring eyes and wire (no saw-tooth hangers, please).

Entries should be labeled with title of work, artist’s name, phone number, media and sales price using the labels on the attached Entry Form.

Entry forms must be received by 4 p.m., July 12, 2013.

Sales:  SCC does not engage in artwork sales.  Artist may sell artwork to interested parties.  If such arrangements are made during the show, the work will be marked with appropriate sticker.  Artist may stipulate “Not for Sale” (NFS).

Liability & Insurance:  While reasonable precautions are taken to safeguard all entries, St. Charles Community College is not responsible for loss or damage to any work submitted while on display or in transit.  Artists are encouraged to insure their own artwork.  Works delivered to this exhibit indicate an agreement on the part of the entrant of the above conditions.
