Please note the following changes in the 2008-10 Catalog (version 3.0):
Page 2-7: The sentence, "An examination fee of $30 per test is charged" was replaced with "Students must be a SCC credit student and have completed 15 hours of SCC credit or be currently enrolled in 6 credit hours at SCC prior to eligibility for credit by exam. The exams will be given after the drop date for the current semester. The cost of examination is equal to one credit hour of tuition." Change affected pp. 2-7 to 2-8
Page 4-5: The following section was added: Course Syllabi - Students may research previous and/or current course syllabi by visiting the Student Development office in 1204 ADM or by visiting the departmental offices. Change affected pp. 4-5 to 4-7
Page 6-6: The following sentence was added under the Satisfactory Academic Progress header: "Students are not subject to academic standing sanctions until they have attempted 12 hours of 100 level or above courses."
Page 6-7: The following sentence was added under the Auditing a Course header: "Audit students must adhere to the same policies and procedures as all students."
Changes to the course descriptions in version 3.0 affected the entire section/chapter.
Page 7-9: The following was added to the Business Administration course descriptions: BUS 298 Business Administration Capstone - This course is designed as a culminating experience integrating all the course work taken in the Associate of Applied Science program. This course also serves as an individual and programmatic assessment tool. This course is designed for AAS business students only.
Page 7-18: The following was added to the education course descriptions: EDU 125 Teaching Literacy Through Storytelling (3) - Learn to communicate through the magic of storytelling. An auditory form of learning that can enhance curricula.
Page 7-39: The following changes were made to psychology course descriptions: PSY 220 Personality Theories will only be offered in the FA09 semester. PSY 230 Social Psychology will only be offered in the Spring 2010 semester.
Page 10-11: In the Personnel chapter, Mary Sadler's name was updated to "Mary Ann Sadler."
