St. Charles Community College will host a Master of Fine Arts Invitational March 14-April 15 in the gallery of the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building on the college campus. The show is free and open to the public.
The exhibit will showcase artwork by graduate students from Fontbonne University, University of Missouri-St. Louis, Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and Washington University. The student artists include: Laura Blacksher, Kara Daving, Alex Elmestad, Emily French, Bo Kim, Nick Martin, Katherine McCullough, Zachary Miller, Christopher Ottinger, Samuel Preston and Roxanne Reed.
“Each graduate student selected for this show was highly recommended by their faculty members,” said Christine Holtz, SCC adjunct instructor and gallery coordinator. “The exhibition will include a variety of mediums and processes combined with a wide array of contemporary conceptual approaches.
An opening reception will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, in the gallery.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Fridays, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information about this exhibit or upcoming exhibits, contact Christine Holtz at email@example.com.
