Jean Ehlmann was re-elected to a six-year term in April 2012. A board member since 1994, Ehlmann has served as board vice president twice and as president twice. She has seen the college through three of its expansion phases.
Ehlmann is a history and government teacher at St. Charles High School. She has a bachelor’s degree in history from Lindenwood University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
One of Ehlmann’s priorities has been to respond to college enrollment growth and meet students’ academic needs at SCC by increasing the numbers of faculty and staff.
“SCC must be accountable to the students and community by ensuring that its general education classes are transferable and its career-technical programs are meeting job market demands,” Ehlmann said. “I want to ensure that SCC meets the future educational needs of St. Charles County.”
